What a wintery start to our week!  We are so glad almost everyone in our class made it safely to school today.

Today we learned about Citizenship.  We brainstormed ideas to answer the question:  "What do good citizens do at school?"  Parents -- Ask your child how he / she can be a good citizen at school.

Below is our class book about "Our Community of Martindale".  Parents -- have your child read the book below and then see if he / she can remember all of the places that they read about in Martindale.  Your son / daughter should be able to name all of them.  Happy reading!

Spelling books went home today and this week's homework is due on Monday January 17, 2011.

We are presently doing Language Arts activities based on a "Winter" theme.
Parents --  ask your son / daughter about the crossword puzzle that we did today.
